Here are 4 things you can do to facilitate the relationship between your SimDif website and your social networks.
1 • In the text of the pages or footer you can create individual links to your different social media pages.
A sentence with a link placed on the right keywords is actually more efficient than icons, especially for your readers and search engines.
For example, create links saying something like: Click here to visit my professional LinkedIn page Click here to check out my Facebook page Click here to stay up to date and follow my Twitter account
In the Text Editor, highlight each phrase separately and tap on the chain icon to open the Link Editor. Then add the correct corresponding link to your individual social media pages
2 • Enable AddThis
Go to Site Settings (top-right button) and "Social Media Share Buttons" and enable 'AddThis'.
After this, re-publish your website and you will see the typical little icons at the bottom of your site encouraging people to share the address of your site on their own social networks.
3 • Share your site’s address
Share your site's link anywhere that you deem fit, on other websites, in forums, in comments, on social media, the list goes on...
It is VERY important to remember to share your website URL on your social media profiles, you will be surprised how many people forget to do this. Your social presence helps direct people to your site and your site is a way to control your presence online and explain to people what you do.
4 • Add social media buttons on the "About Us" page or on the first page of your website
If you have a Smart or a Pro site, you will find "Social media button" blocks available under "Special" when you go to "Add a block". In these buttons, you can set the addresses of your own social media pages (Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube). This is a good way to promote your social media and is a way for people to connect with you further.
