Why does a Free SimDif site have an expiration date and how do I extend it?

A SimDif Starter site is free for as long as you need it

There is no time limit to SimDif's free offer. Just make sure to publish your website at least once every 6 months. This will keep it active and available online at no cost.

Why do we ask Free site owners to publish every 6 months?

1. To ensure the overall quality of sites on SimDif: abandoned sites have a negative impact on the whole .simdif.com domain and can influence how Google sees the websites of active users.

2. As part of our Ethics: we don't keep the data of people who no longer use SimDif.

3. The reminder to Publish is useful: it gives you a chance to review and improve your site, keeping it up-to-date for your readers or clients.

What happens if my website expires?

If your website reaches its expiration date, it will be automatically unpublished. But don't worry! You can still log in, edit, and publish your site for up to a year. If you don't publish within this period, your site will be permanently deleted.

What if I have a paid website?

For paid websites, simply renew your subscription when it's due to keep your website online.

How long do you keep my information after my site is unpublished?

If your site is unpublished, we will hold onto your information and site data for one year. After one year, to protect your privacy, we will permanently delete all information related to you and your site from our servers.
