Kai is the AI assistant built into SimDif. Wherever you see the egg icon, Kai is ready to help.

Kai gives advice and suggestions. It does not change your website unless you choose to apply a suggestion, and you can always return to your original text.

Kai is available on every plan, including the free Starter plan. Smart and Pro sites have a few extra writing functions and can use Kai more often.

Kai in the Text Editor: improve your writing

Tap the egg icon in the Text Editor to let Kai work on the title or paragraph you are editing. Kai reads the whole page first, so its suggestions fit the rest of your content.

Kai below your site header: review a page step by step

Tap the egg icon just below your website header to start a step-by-step review of the page.

Kai reviews the content of the page, scans it for missing topics, suggests better titles for your blocks and for the page, and writes a description for search results. On your homepage, Kai can also scan your site for missing pages, suggest a Site Title and a Site Name, and propose domain names that are available to register.

At each step you see your current text next to several alternatives, and you decide which one to keep.

Kai in Themes: create the look of your site

Tap the brush icon, then "Themes", then "Creator". Give Kai a few details about your website and choose between the styles, colors, shapes and fonts that Kai proposes. In a couple of minutes you have a complete graphic Theme.

On a Starter or Smart site you can run the whole process, preview the result, and save one Theme. To publish your site with a Theme created by Kai, or to create more than one Theme, you will need Pro.

Kai for translations: help your message come across in every language

On a Multilingual Site, Kai helps you review the automatic translations of your pages. In each translated title or paragraph, Kai can proofread, change the tone, or write a completely new translation. Kai reads the whole original page before translating, so the wording and style stay consistent from one block to the next.

Kai Chat: ask a question about SimDif

Tap the '?' icon in the bottom left corner to open the Help section. In the "Kai Chat" tab, ask your question in your own words and in your own language. Kai answers using SimDif's help content and what it knows about your account and your site.

To get help from a person, go to the "Assistance" tab.

Which languages does Kai speak?

Kai talks to you in the language of SimDif, the language you chose for the app in "Account Preferences". When Kai writes or translates text for your website, it works in 140 languages, so your website does not need to be in the same language as the app.

Your website stays yours

Kai is completely optional. You can build your whole website without it.
