What does a Pro website cost where you live?
Did you know that SimDif Pro does not have the same price in every country?
It's true.
SimDif adapts the price of its upgrades to the cost of living in each country, and has done so for more than ten years. We were among the very first companies on the web to offer localized pricing for an online software.
We call it FairDif, because it creates fair regional pricing, for you.
Why a single world price is not a fair price
We all know that living costs vary around the world. For someone buying a $10 product in the United States, it feels like spending $10. In a country with a different cost of living, that same $10 product can feel more like spending $30.
The price is the same. How expensive it feels depends on where you are.
That's why SimDif created FairDif, an index that calculates a fair local price based on the cost of living in each country.
The features do not change
Starter, Smart and Pro include exactly the same features everywhere in the world.
Many companies reduce their subscriptions prices in certain countries, but they also reduce the product. Not here. SimDif prices adapt. What you get stays the same.
You choose which price you pay
When you go to upgrade, you will see two prices: a Global Standard Price and your Local FairDif Price.
Choosing the higher price, if you can afford it, helps us make the lower price possible for those who can't. It allows us to offer the best website builder we can make to people whose budget might be very different from yours.
You are free to choose the price that works for you. The service is identical whichever you pick.
How the FairDif index was built
We started from reputable price indexes, including Numbeo, the World Bank and the OECD, and used them to estimate a price that carries the same value for people in different countries.
For example, one year of Pro features costs $149 in the United States, around $194 in Singapore, $129 in Italy, and $43 in India.
This does not mean that people in India pay less than people in Italy or the United States.
The number is different, but the relative value is the same.
Go and have a look
In SimDif, open Site Settings, the gear icon in the top right corner, and go to Upgrade or Renew. Both prices are there, waiting for you.
Simple, and yes, a bit different
We probably earn a little less money this way. In exchange, our work reaches more people, in more places, whatever their purchasing power and whatever their language.
This approach has always seemed like the right one to us.
