New: Hidden Pages

October 12, 2023

One of Your Most Requested Features is Now in SimDif Pro

With a single click, you can now hide a page from the menu. Once hidden, a page will not be included in the menu of your published site, and can only be accessed from a link you place on another page, share in Social media or send in an email.

The Power of the Vertical Menu

SimDif's vertical menu has several advantages over a horizontal top navigation.

1. Consistently Visible: Menu items stay in the same place on phones and computers, letting your readers and clients learn to navigate your site quickly.

2. More Pages: You can add many more pages to a vertical menu than to a horizontal one.

3. Longer Menu Labels: You can use much more text in each menu tab, to tell your readers and search engines what your linked pages are about.

So, Why Hide a Page?

There are a few reasons why you might not want to include a page in your menu:

Milestone Page: Your hidden page could be one that you only want your visitors to see after first reading another page or paragraph. In this case you can place a link on that page to your hidden page.

Landing Page: Your hidden page may be a landing page for a promotion you want to offer your clients by email, or which you want to share on Social Media, or in an Ad Campaign.

Menu Organization: If your site has a lot of pages, even after separating groups of tabs with spacers, you might still want to simplify the navigation choices for your readers. In which case you can now hide from your menu, for example, a Terms and Conditions page, but still put a link to it in your footer.

Hidden Pages are available now in SimDif Pro sites!

Note: A hidden page will still be included in the site map available to search engines. So, someone might discover it via search engines like Google. This is less likely if your page does not contain search engine optimized language.

Important: Content on a hidden page must adhere to our Terms of Service, just as on any other page.
