Bigger Pictures and a Better Slideshow

May 14, 2024

Show your visitors higher quality images in an improved slideshow

As you know, when someone clicks on an image on your site it opens in a slideshow, to let your visitor navigate through all the images on the page.

Today, we're pleased to announce that we've increased the size limit for images, and upgraded the slideshow.

The Key Improvements

• The maximum display size of images has increased from 700 to 960 pixels, allowing for bigger and sharper pictures.

• On mobile devices, slideshow images can now use the full width and height of the screen for a more immersive viewing experience.

• The slideshow controls and your image descriptions (if you made them visible) are now less intrusive, and won't get in the way of your photos.

You can improve your current images in a few clicks!

To resize an image without having to re-upload it:
Click on the image, tap Apply, and Publish your site again.

SimDif will automatically regenerate images using the original versions you uploaded.

If your original image was less than 700 pixels high or wide, there's no need to do anything. If you have a larger version, you can upload it again.

The Slideshow Now Also Supports E-commerce Buttons

When you use E-commerce Buttons with images, your visitors will now see the buttons under the product pictures in the slideshow.
This lets your customers shop in the slideshow, using the "Buy Now" or "Add to Cart" buttons as they browse.
