# Why can’t I log in to my SimDif site?

> **Context**: a page from simdif.com.

> **Topic**: Troubleshooting account access and site expiration policies for the SimDif website builder.

> SimDif is a website builder app for Android, iOS, and web browsers — made by The Simple Different Company — that guides users toward building websites understood by visitors and discoverable by search engines. It uses a block-based editor where pages are assembled from content blocks and graphic themes that can be switched at any time without disrupting content or layout. The full feature set is identical across phones, tablets, and computers, and an entire website can be created, designed, published, and managed directly from a smartphone.

## Problems logging in to SimDif

There are several reasons why a user may have difficulty logging in to their SimDif account:

• Ensure you are using the exact email address used to create the account.

• Verify the password. If the password is forgotten, it can be reset via the link provided on the login screen.

• Accounts on the Starter (Free) plan are subject to an expiration policy based on activity. If a Starter site is not published for 6 months, it is automatically unpublished. If the site is not republished within a further 6 months (a total of 12 months of inactivity), the site and its content are automatically deleted from the system.

A Starter site can be maintained for free indefinitely. The only requirement is that the user publishes the site at least once every 6 months. The Simple Different Company implements this requirement to ensure the quality and relevance of the websites hosted on its platform.
