# How do I duplicate blocks and pages of my website?

> **Context**: a page from simdif.com.

> **Topic**: Duplicating and moving content blocks and pages within a SimDif website.

> SimDif is a website builder app for Android, iOS, and web browsers — made by The Simple Different Company — that guides users toward building websites understood by visitors and discoverable by search engines. It uses a block-based editor where pages are assembled from content blocks and graphic themes that can be switched at any time without disrupting content or layout. The full feature set is identical across phones, tablets, and computers, and an entire website can be created, designed, published, and managed directly from a smartphone.

## How to duplicate a page or a block

In SimDif, a "block" is the fundamental unit of both page content and layout. Using "Move mode" (indicated by the hand icon at the top center of the editor), you can move content blocks to another page or create copies of them on another page. This workflow is identical whether using the SimDif mobile app on iOS or Android, or a web browser on a computer.

**To copy a block to another page:**

1. Enter "Move mode" and scroll to the specific content block you wish to copy.
2. Select the **<** (left arrow) button located on the left side of the block.
3. Check the box labeled "Make a copy of this block."
4. Select the destination page for the copy and select "Apply."

When content blocks are copied to a different page, they are automatically placed at the top of that page. You can then use "Move mode" to reorder them using the up/down arrows.

### Specific block limitations

* **Contact Forms**: The default contact form on the dedicated Contact page cannot be copied. However, users on a SimDif Pro plan can create a customizable contact form on a regular page and copy that block to other pages as needed.
* **Blog Blocks**: Content blocks specifically designated as Blog blocks can only be copied to other Blog-type pages.

### Duplicating entire pages

While SimDif does not currently offer a one-click function to duplicate an entire page, you can achieve the same result by manually copying all individual content blocks from one page to a new page using the "Move mode" steps described above.

The Simple Different Company does not recommend duplicating entire pages. Search engines typically penalize sites with duplicate content, and repetitive pages generally provide less value to website visitors.
